About the Role
We're elevating Tango's event program, both virtual and in-person, to create the kind of touchpoints that build real relationships with prospects and customers, not just visibility. The Event Manager owns the program end to end: deciding which events we invest in, executing every show flawlessly, and turning each conversation into measurable pipeline. For webinars, the role ensures every webinar runs cleanly and supports broader marketing goals.
What You'll Do
In-person event strategy and program ownership
- Own the annual event strategy, calendar, and budget, deciding which shows and hosted events to invest in.
- Determine strategy for each trade show, including in-person touch points and presence, surround events,
- Set goals and KPIs for each event and refine the program mix based on results.
- Propose and launch new engagement formats that go beyond booth presence; this could include executive dinners, customer roundtables, receptions, or other in-person format
- Help launch and execute hosted customer events, aligning event strategy with overall business goals.
- Plan product activation for every conference with Product Marketing, so product strategy shows up in each event.
Webinar Strategy and Execution
- Set the webinar calendar and content with the Marketing team, covering hosted and third-party webinars.
- Determine consistent strategic approach to webinars, including pre- and post promotion, with the goal of driving attendees and engagement.
Cross-functional outreach, before and after every event
- Partner with Sales, Client Experience and Marketing to maximize pre-event outreach with the goal of driving engagement.
- Plan for the right people on site for each event’s objective.
- Drive post-event follow-up, from lead hand-off to nurture campaigns, so no conversation goes cold.
- Equip Sales with event briefs, talk tracks, and follow-up templates, and align with Product Marketing on messaging.
- Work with RevOps and Marketing on event lead scoring, handoff, and attribution.
Execution and logistics
- Own end-to-end logistics for trade shows and digital events. For trade shows this includes booth coordination, shipping, staffing, travel, and on-site execution.
- Manage vendor and agency relationships, including contracts and sponsorships.
- Ensure clean lead capture and CRM data for accurate pipeline attribution.
Measurement and reporting
- Report on leads, pipeline influence, and ROI after each event and quarterly, with recommendations on what to keep, cut, or grow.
- Own event MQL-to-SQL conversion alongside Sales.
About You
- 6-8 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or production, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of owning an event program strategy.
- Experience running executive-level hosted events (dinners, roundtables, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with event/registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Splash, or similar) and webinar tools (e.g., Zoom Webinars, ON24).
- Working knowledge of a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) for lead capture, data entry, and basic reporting.
- Strong vendor management and budget-tracking skills.
- Excellent written communication for coordinating cross-functional promotion — email, social, and sales enablement.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the judgment to keep several shows on track at once.
- Comfortable traveling to on-site events on occasion; frequency varies seasonally with the show calendar and show needs.
- Understanding of pipeline attribution and how events contribute to revenue.
